2018 Annual Meeting in Brookhaven, MS

This year's annual meeting was held at The Great Mississippi Tea Farm in Brookhaven, MS. Col. Jason McDonald and Timmy Gipson graciously hosted a 4 day event where we harvested and processed white, green, and black tea. We visited 3 tea farms, and talked with lots of other growers about their experiences. There were also presentations from researchers at the University of Mississippi, and University of Louisiana about new research being conducted on camellia sinensis plants.

In addition to having fun learning to harvest and process tea, the League also talked about reinventing itself and emerging again as a resource for tea growers all over the USA. We elected a new Executive committee, and made plans for updates to the website and new tools to help tea growers connect with each other and share information. It is an exciting time for the League, and we are all pitching in to expand the tea growing industry across the USA.

It was decided that next year's meeting will be held in Eugene, Oregon. Watch for updates on time and events!
