In November, we shared the story of the #TeaAcrossAmerica initiative started by Elyse Peterson and Jason McDonald.  In a nutshell, the goal was to have a tea plant growing in all 50 states and DC.  After a swift adoption process, waves of plants started shipping out in December.  The #TeaAcrossAmerica Facebook page is a consistent source of pictures, updates and name debuts, as well as an excellent source of assistance in keeping those plants alive and flourishing!

#TeaAcrossAmerica has a number of reasons for starting this, but one was to shed light on, and educate people about, growing tea here in the US.  CaMEllia TeaMEllia, the tea plant residing in Portland, Maine, has garnered local media attention and we encourage many of you that have adopted tea plants to reach out to your local media contacts as well.  Well played, CaMEllia TeaMellia, well played!

We will continue to post updates regarding the #TeaAcrossAmerica campaign here and encourage each of you to submit photos to the Facebook page.
